Police arrest 2 who walked away from prison work furlough program
Two men who walked away from a prison work furlough program were arrested by police Thursday.
Police arrested a 30-year-old man at 4:30 pm Thursday on suspicion of second-degree escape at Waterfront Plaza in Kakaako.
He was out on a work pass and allegedly failed to return April 8.
A 43-year-old inmate at Oahu Community Correctional Center allegedly failed to return from a work furlough program Tuesday.
An off-duty officer reported seeing him and he was found Thursday and arrested on suspicion of second-degree escape.
