2 inmates who didn’t return from work furloughs are arrested
Two missing work furlough inmates were arrested Thursday, the state Department of Public Safety said.
Ikaika Nixon was returned to Oahu Community Correctional Center on Friday after he was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Nixon left OCCC on Wednesday, April 8, at 12:20 p.m. on a job-seeking pass and failed to return. Nixon, serving time for robbery, has a parole hearing in June.
The second missing work furlough Inmate, Sean Johnson, was also arrested Thursday about 6:15 p.m. He remains in police custody.
Johnson left Monday at 1:30 p.m. to go to work, and is serving for theft. His next parole hearing is scheduled for July.
