Hawaii island inmate now charged with Kurtistown burglary
Hawaii island police have charged an inmate at Hawaii Community Correctional Center in connection with a Kurtistown burglary last year.
Luke Kaniaupio, 22, sentenced to jail in January for unrelated crimes, was charged on Thursday with second-degree burglary, according to police.
He is accused of entering a flower warehouse on North Ala Road and removing various items in a burglary on July 31, 2014.
His bail was set at $2,000.
