Medical examiner identifies man killed when truck overturned in Makiki
The medical examiner identified a 44-year-old Pearl City man who died last week after he lost control of his truck and it overturned in Makiki as Kevin Uhrle.
Further tests will be done to determine cause of death,
Police said the driver was speeding as he headed north on Mott-Smith Drive on May 14, lost control of the 2005 Toyota pickup truck and plowed into a yard on a steep embankment.
When the driver tried to re-enter the roadway, he hit a curb, flipping the truck onto its roof, 300 feet north of the Kalawahine Place intersection.
Uhrle, who was pinned inside the truck, suffered head and internal injuries and died at the scene.
Police said speed was a factor, and alcohol and drugs are possible factors.
