Woman injured in $100K fire on Hawaii island
A 38-year-old woman sustained a second-degree burn to her leg in a fire that caused about $100,000 damage to a two-story house in Kamuela on Monday morning, Hawaii island firefighters said.
Four fire companies with a total of 20 personnel responded to a report of a structure fire about 8:20 a.m.
Firefighters said the fire was confined to the laundry and living room areas.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
