The U.S. Coast Guard conducted a medical evacuation of a 20-month-old boy to Maui Memorial Medical Center from a tour vessel in waters near Molokini Crater.

The Coast Guard Station at Maalaea dispatched its 45-foot response boat after receiving a call at 10:44 a.m. that the boy on the tour boat at Molokini Crater was unresponsive.

The boat arrived at the tour boat Pride of Maui in 11 minutes and took the boy to land and to the hospital, where he was treated and later released in stable condition, the Coast Guard said.
