An argument between two friends Monday escalated when one of the pair pulled out a knife.

The argument started at 3:45 p.m. Monday in the Ala Moana area, police said.

During the argument a 25-year-old Kalihi man grabbed a knife and allegedly threatened a 30-year-old man.

The suspect fled, but officers responding to another incident five hours later on Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki arrested him on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and two outstanding court warrants.
