Hilo man charged in theft of truck from parking lot
Hawaii island police charged a 42-year-old Hilo man in connection with the theft of a truck on Aug. 2.
According to police, the 2006 Toyota pickup was removed from a parking lot on Puainako Street. The truck was located on Wednesday in the Keaukaha area and a subsequent investigation linked the theft to Alfred Keahilihau.
Keahilihau was charged Thursday with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle. His bail was set at $10,000.
