Police arrested a 22-year-old Kalihi man who allegedly kidnapped  a 56-year-old man and made him drive around Pearl City on Thursday morning.

The younger man was allegedly armed with a pistol and forced the older man to drive him around the area from 8:20 a.m. to 8:42 a.m.

Police would not say what the motive was or whether the men knew each other.

Police were called, and officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the 22-year-old on suspicion of kidnapping, first-degree terroristic threatening, first-degree reckless endangering and place to keep a pistol.
