Teen carrying rifle arrested near Palolo McDonald’s
The 15-year-old boy seen carrying an AR-15 assault rifle near the Palolo McDonald’s at Waialae and Palolo avenues was charged and turned over to the Family Court Tuesday.
The teen was arrested on suspicion of first-degree reckless endangering and a firearms violation Monday afternoon.
Just after 4 p.m. police received a call regarding an argument near the Palolo McDonald’s. A sergeant patrolling the area saw a youth carrying a rifle just before 4:30 p.m.
Police said during their investigation officers learned that the rifle has been fired nearby.
Emergency Medical Services reported treating only the suspect who didn’t need to be taken to the hospital.
