Alert officer witnesses robbery, nabs suspect
An on-duty police officer was in the right place at the right time to arrest a 29-year-old man with no local address for allegedly robbing a 32-year-old man early Tuesday on Kapiolani Boulevard.
Police said the officer witnessed the younger man allegedly taking property forcibly from the victim at 1:56 a.m. Tuesday on Kapiolani Boulevard.
The officer arrested the man at 2 a.m. on suspicion of second-degree robbery near 1679 Kapiolani Blvd.
