7-hour standoff reportedly ends peacefully in Makaha
A seven-hour standoff at the Makaha Beach Cabanas complex ended peacefully Monday evening.
A man who had locked himself inside one of the condominium units was taken in to police custody around 9:30 p.m..
The spectacle had drawn widespread attention throughout the late afternoon and evening as dozens of Honolulu Police Department, SWAT and Emergency Medical Services personnel converged on the area.
Police said that the man did not have a gun.
No injuries were reported.
