UH associate volleyball coach Hall on administrative leave

Hawaii associate head volleyball coach Jeff Hall was placed on administrative leave and will not be on the bench for this week’s matches against CSU Bakersfield, athletic director David Matlin said Thursday.

“As this is a personnel matter, I cannot comment directly on the circumstances that led to my placing him on administrative leave, Matlin said in a statement released by the school. ” I, however, can say that Coach Hall is taking full responsibility for this situation. He and I met, along with head coach Dave Shoji, and we are all in full agreement as to the things that need to happen as we move forward.

“I consider this matter closed and therefore will have no further comment.”

Shoji declined comment.

No. 12 Hawaii hosts CSU Bakersfield Friday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m.
