San Antonio campus locked down after report of armed person
SAN ANTONIO >> A San Antonio university is on lockdown and the campus is being searched after a second report of an armed individual on campus.
The University of the Incarnate Word tweeted early Wednesday morning that the campus was locked down after university police received “another report of a possible armed individual.”
A university spokeswoman couldn’t immediately be reached. A dispatcher with university police said he couldn’t immediately provide any details.
It was the second such report over several hours. Tuesday evening, the university urged students to use caution after an initial report as multiple agencies searched the campus and surrounding area. Authorities found no sign of an armed person.
The school is the largest Catholic university in Texas and has about 9,200 students.
