Big Isle work furlough inmate fails to return to Hale Nani
Hawaii island work furlough inmate Devin Saragosa-Taoy failed to return after work to the Hale Nani reintegration center this afternoon.
Saragosa-Taoy left for work this morning and was scheduled to return by 4:30 p.m. State Sheriffs and Hawaii County police were notified.
The 24-year old Saragosa-Taoy is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 159 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He faces an additional escape charge, state officials said.
Saragosa-Taoy is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. Community custody is the lowest classification status.
