HECO said the crash happened on Kalakaua Avenue between Makaloa and Fern streets after a truck hit a utility pole.
Hawaiian Electric Co. says it has restored power to most of 1,150 customers in the Punahou and McCully areas affected this afternoon after a motor vehicle accident knocked out a power line on Kalakaua Avenue.
Honolulu police said the Waikiki-bound lanes on Kalakaua Avenue were closed between Makaloa and Fern streets because a truck hit a utility pole.
HECO said the motor vehicle accident happened at about 1:30 p.m.
HECO said only seven customers were without power this evening.
