Tourtists took pictures at Shark’s Cove on the North Shore as warning-level surf rolled in Monday.

Although an earlier high surf warning has been canceled, large surf continues to pound the north and west shores of most islands today.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service expect wave heights of up to 20 to 24 feet along the north shores of Oahu, Molokai and Kauai County this morning with waves up to 12 to 18 feet along the west shores of Hawaii island, Maui, Oahu, Kauai County and Molokai.

The high surf advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. Wednesday.
