Woman critically injured crossing Farrington Highway
A 57-year-old woman was taken by ambulance in critical condition Tuesday night after she was hit by car while walking on Farrington Highway in Waianae.
Police said the accident occurred at 10:49 p.m. and the woman was not trying to cross the street, but was walking on the road near the Kentucky Fried Chicken fast food restaurant on Kaupuni Street.
The 29-year old female driver, who was traveling east on Farrington Highway, was not injured.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the accident.

Please use the crosswalk and be very careful. I note many people out here running across the street or wandering listlessly in an unsteady fashion around the roads.
