Woman seriously burned after being set on fire

A woman was seriously injured Monday afternoon after allegedly being set on fire.

The incident occurred at Kahekili and Kamehameha Highway.

The woman suffered second-degree burns to her arms, legs and back.

An accelerant was reportedly used in the crime and a vehicle was damaged by the ensuing blaze.

Police are investigating the incident as an attempted murder.

No arrests have yet been made.
