Makaha man, 24, charged with burglary, firearms offense
A 24-year-old man has been charged with threatening a 55-year-old man with a firearm during a home burglary in Makaha.
Ranson Soares, of Makaha, was charged Monday night with first-degree burglary, first-degree terroristic threatening, and a firearm offense. His bail was set at $10,000.
Police said Soares entered the man’s home about 9 a.m. Sunday and threatened him with the firearm. Officers arrested Soares at his home about an hour later.

Perhaps I’m a bit remised on the offense, arrest, charge and bail amount. Use of a firearm to commit a crime and let out on $10,000? Perhaps something amiss or perhaps someone could clarify.
Here, they usually wait until the criminal sets his girlfriend on fire before any real bail/sentencing happens.
