Likelike Highway will be closed tonight
The Likelike Highway will be closed Saturday night for routine tunnel cleaning and maintenance, the state Department of Transportation said.
The closure will be in the Kaneohe-bound direction between Valley View Drive and the Wilson Tunnel form 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday.
Motorists are advised to use the H-3 freeway or the Pali Highway.
Roadwork is weather permitting, the department said.

Every time either the Pali highway, Like like highway, or the H-3 tunnel is closed off, the next day I see no repairs or improvement. Same potholes. Same street lights out. All for show.
But people get paid overtime.

Can we close the Pali for a few months for thorough cleaning?
OK. I saved my toothbrush from boot camp for this cleaning of the tunnel. You take the high road, and I will take the low road.
Tunnel might be so clean that we will have to remove our shoes before entering.
