Police ask for help identifying shirtless shoplifting suspect
Honolulu police released security camera video and images of a shirtless man who is believed to have stolen several items from a Waikiki store last month.
The video shows the shoplifting suspect walking through the Freaky Tiki Optical store wearing a tan hat, sunglasses and green shorts with his hands on his chin.
Police also released an image of the man with a white, striped golf shirt.
Police said the man went to the store on Jan. 19 at about 1:42 p.m. and on Jan. 17 at about 4:18 p.m., selected and concealed merchandise and then walked out of the store without paying.

He must have just came from a warehouse club. I see a ketchup stain on his belly button from the free sample..
Why, he’s so unremarkable I can understand why he wasn’t under scrutiny by the clerks. He looks like a lot of people who roam Waikiki.
“Police also released an image of the man with a white, stripped golf shirt.” Does that mean the shirt was torn and shredded?
No, it means the editor was taking a coffee break…
At least it’s only one break a day, albeit for eight hours.
looks like a tourist
Yes. Either Chinese or Japanese. There was one who set a fire in Walmart a short while back. Crazies.
Looks like our next Mayor of Honolulu.
Last month? Already back in the Orient.
Why don’t the Police release these videos right away instead
of waiting a “few weeks” … BTW this guys was “acting” very
“gay-ish”
Have to clear it with the ACLU for the assailant ‘ s rights.
Police want our help. Do they want us to see if he smells?
