Woman charged with assaulting officers in Waikiki
A 46-year-old homeless woman has been charged with assaulting several police officers Friday in Waikiki who were trying to arrest her.
Athena Johnson was stopped at 10 p.m. at Kuhio Avenue and Walina Street when she alleged attacked the officers.
Johnson was charged with two counts of assaulting law enforcement officers, harassment and resisting arrest. Her bail was set at $40,000.
The officers suffered minor injuries.
