A two-car collision set both vehicles aflame in the westbound lanes of the H-1 freeway near the Campbell Industrial Park offramp Tuesday night and high winds spread the blaze to nearby brush, which ended up scorching two acres.

The accident occurred at 5:31 p.m. and 21 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.

The fire was contained by 5:45 p.m. and fully extinguished by 7 p.m.

Police closed the westbound lane of the H-1 freeway and the westbound onramp.

All occupants of both vehicles were evaluated by paramedics and refused further treatment.

No structures were threatened. No damage or injuries were reported.
