Kamehameha Highway reopens by Waimea Bay after head-on collision

Police reopened Kamehameha Highway near Waimea Bay Beach Park this morning following a head-on collision that sent two people to the hospital.
The conditions of the male and female drivers were not immediately known.
The accident occurred just after 7:30 a.m. on Kamehameha Highway near Sts. Peter & Paul Mission. The highway was reopened to traffic around 9:08 a.m.
The section of highway between Waimea Bay Beach Park and Pupukea Road had been closed in both directions.
