Police seek public’s help in identifying bank robbery suspect

    The man is described as being 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds with black hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve orange shirt, blue denim pants and a tan baseball cap with an unidentified logo.

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed the Hawaii State Federal Credit Union in Kapolei on Thursday.

The suspect entered the credit union, handed a note to a teller and demanded money before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction, CrimeStoppers said today.

The man is described as being 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds with black hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve orange shirt, blue denim pants and a tan baseball cap with an unidentified logo. He had a clear stone earring in his left ear.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellphone.

  • With a picture like that, hey, just forget about probable cause and just “stop and frisk” the first 1,000 5’7″ 170 lb males you see. If you don’t catch THE robber, then you’re bound to net several dozen miscellaneous scofflaws anyway.
