Police reopened the two left lanes of Nimitz Highway townbound near Sand Island after an earlier vehicle accident.
Police reported the closure at 7:21 a.m. to conduct an investigation. The lanes were reopened at 8:56 a.m.
No serious injuries were immediately reported.

Me? Jockeying with soccer mom in the suv next to me. She don’t want me to merge so she can save 5 seconds on the time clock. Sheesh!
Subsequent reports said there is one person in critical condition and the police have to conduct a full accident investigation which is why it is taking so long to clear the accident.
