About 1,300 customers in the Wahiawa area lost electricity for an hour or so starting at about 2 p.m. today, Hawaiian Electric Co. reported.

The neighborhoods affected included the Kamehameha Highway area in Wahiawa, Whitmore Village and Helemano, according to Peter Rosegg, spokesman for HECO.

Electric company crews restored power to all customers except for one at about 3 p.m., he said.

“They did that by switching to a different circuit that allows them to then work on the problem,” he said.

The cause of the outage has not yet been determined.

Power was restored to all affected customers at 7:30 p.m.
