Big Isle teen arrested after threatening notes found at school

A 15-year-old Big Island boy was arrested today at Waiakea High School in Hilo for allegedly leaving notes on the school’s bathroom walls threatening violence.

Police said threatening notes were left on bathroom walls sometime between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday.

The teen was arrested 9 a.m.

He is being held at the South Hilo police station while detectives continue the investigation.

    I guess he didn’t learn that he won’t get extra credit for writing on bathroom walls. He’ll get lock up time instead.

    He needs help. If he really meant to hurt somebody he’d have done it.
