Tree removal slowing traffic on Pali Highway
A lane closure is now in place on the Kailua-bound side of Pali Highway this afternoon as crews remove a downed kukui tree from the roadway’s mountain side.
The H-3 Freeway, Likelike Highway, and Kalanianaole Highway are open as alternative routes, officials said.
State Department of Transportation spokesperson Tim Sakahara said crews expect to reopen the lane prior to the evening commute between Kailua and Honolulu.
