Hawaii to host professional tennis tournament
Billing it as “Hawaii’s largest professional tennis tournament in decades,” the Hawaii Tourism Authority said the state will host the Hawaii Open in November.
Details of the Nov. 20-27 Women’s Tennis Association event are to be announced at a Thursday press conference, the HTA said.
The event is to feature “32 world-ranked players,” the HTA said.
Hawaii hosted a Federation Cup first round match between the U. S. and Poland at the Holua Tennis Center in Kona in February.
