Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke announced a bid for the Senate.

CLEVELAND >> They don’t like to be called white supremacists.

The men who gathered last week in Cleveland’s Ritz-Carlton bar after Donald Trump accepted the Republican presidential nomination prefer “Europeanists,” ”alt-right,” or even “white nationalists.” They also are die-hard Trump supporters.

While not official delegates, they had credentials for the Republican National Convention. Richard Spencer of Arlington, Virginia, says Trump pushed the GOP closer to their principles.

Trump has publicly disavowed the white supremacist movement. His campaign declined to comment on their convention attendance.

Yet Trump’s “America First” message, backed by his call for a border wall and focus on immigration, has energized the white supremacist movement.

Seizing on the energy, former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan David Duke said last week he will run for the Senate from Louisiana.

The true story is coming out. All smoke and mirrors but these people are dangerous. If they are europeanists then they should go back to Europe. He is as pale as a ghost.

    • lespark says:

Donald Trump loves Americans of all ethnic origins. He does not discriminate. The only smoke and mirrors is the lies spun by the Democrats. You must be proud of your unfair and unbalanced DNC.

      • keaukaha says:

Then why does he attract these guys like flies on sh-t

        • keaukaha says:

A racist is a racist. He was raised that way and doesn’t know any better. It’s his core being and will always revert back to it. I wasn’t raised that way and that’s why I despise him. True aloha is that you except everyone for who they are and treat them with respect as long as that respect is returned. I was taught that when your in the front you pull and when your in the back you push. That way everyone in your unit whether it be family or work can contribute equal energy to move that unit forward. Imua!

        • lespark says:

Well, keaukaha, I was raised different. If you are ahead and you are moving to slow you get out of the way. If you are behind you don’t push people around. It shows me you are self centered and don’t care about anyone but yourself. If you have the true Aloha you do not despise people for no reason. How do you know how he was raised. Trump said his mother raised him to be good. His kids look ok to me. Do you despise them?

        • keaukaha says:

You don’t have to tell me that you are different from me because your comments make it perfectly clear. You admit to being a racist and a bigot and proud of it.You were raised the same way as Chump so in your mind everybody else is wrong and not normal. The problem is that people like you are not and will never be the majority so your dreams will never come true. Please don’t use the word Aloha because l know you are originally not from here or was raised in way a that is strange to me. To me his kids are either as good actors as their father or take after their moms. Also their successes continue to depend on how well their dad does. Finally I have concluded that you are a lonely, bitter and confused person so I will pray for you.

        • sarge22 says:

Trump has publicly disavowed the white supremacist movement.

        • keaukaha says:

Come on sarge I know your a little smarter than that and if not I got some land for sale in Kalapana. Great view of the lava flow. In fact it’s right in its path.

  2. Ikefromeli says:

Hmmmn, very timely and germane, as the NYTs, documents Trumps troubled history with race:

I’ve waded through 1,021 pages of documents from that legal battle, and they are devastating. Donald Trump was then president of the family real estate firm, and the government amassed overwhelming evidence that the company had a policy of discriminating against blacks, including those serving in the military.

To prove the discrimination, blacks were repeatedly dispatched as testers to Trump apartment buildings to inquire about vacancies, and white testers were sent soon after. Repeatedly, the black person was told that nothing was available, while the white tester was shown apartments for immediate rental.

A former building superintendent working for the Trumps explained that he was told to code any application by a black person with the letter C, for colored, apparently so the office would know to reject it. A Trump rental agent said the Trumps wanted to rent only to “Jews and executives,” and discouraged renting to blacks.

Donald Trump furiously fought the civil rights suit in the courts and the media, but the Trumps eventually settled on terms that were widely regarded as a victory for the government. Three years later, the government sued the Trumps again, for continuing to discriminate.

In fairness, those suits date from long ago, and the discriminatory policies were probably put in place not by Donald Trump but by his father. Fred Trump appears to have been arrested at a Ku Klux Klan rally in 1927; Woody Guthrie, who lived in a Trump property in the 1950s, lambasted Fred Trump in recently discovered papers for stirring racial hatred.

Yet even if Donald Trump inherited his firm’s discriminatory policies, he allied himself decisively in the 1970s housing battle against the civil rights movement.

Another revealing moment came in 1989, when New York City was convulsed by the “Central Park jogger” case, a rape and beating of a young white woman. Five black and Latino teenagers were arrested.

Trump stepped in, denounced Mayor Ed Koch’s call for peace and bought full-page newspaper ads calling for the death penalty. The five teenagers spent years in prison before being exonerated. In retrospect, they suffered a modern version of a lynching, and Trump played a part in whipping up the crowds.

As Trump moved into casinos, discrimination followed. In the 1980s, according to a former Trump casino worker, Kip Brown, who was quoted by The New Yorker: “When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor. … They put us all in the back.”

In 1991, a book by John O’Donnell, who had been president of the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, quoted Trump as criticizing a black accountant and saying: “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. … I think that the guy is lazy. And it’s probably not his fault, because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that. It’s not anything they can control.” O’Donnell wrote that for months afterward, Trump pressed him to fire the black accountant, until the man resigned of his own accord.

Trump eventually denied making those comments. But in 1997 in a Playboy interview, he conceded “the stuff O’Donnell wrote about me is probably true.”

    • keaukaha says:

Incredible stuff and I hope they come out with all of this at the dnc. He made his bed and is going to lie in it. It’s over before it started.

      • Ikefromeli says:

Keaukaha, what is most amazing, as you might have noticed, is that a large amount of the articles I have cited come from rather pronounced conservative journals/publications. It is is one thing to be versed in ideology outside to what I subscribe to (I’m an ardent supporter of a robust two party system) but, when your ego is so large, coupled with either the inability or the lack of inclination to become versed and practiced in your own political party, well, you are pretty much left with a lazy sham.

I actually have a tad of remorse for the Republican Party as it deserves better than this huckster and practioner of tomfoolery.

        • keaukaha says:

Agree wholeheartedly. Mahalo nui for providing the facts and nothing but the facts. You give them enough rope and they will hang themselves.

        • sarge22 says:

Fact check, fact check, fact check. Mr Trump moving up in the polls. We need more attacks to stop him. NYT is scrambling for more dirt on the Honorable Mr Trump. So far they just are not working. “Make America Great Again”

      • keaukaha says:

Sarge wake up your having another one of those dreams.

        • 808warriorfan says:

I’m assuming he uses the name “Sarge” as he either is or was one … if so his comments tell me why he is / was an enlisted man … no brains or common sense to be an officer … AMERICA IS GREAT !!!!!

        • keaukaha says:

          Agree

        • sarge22 says:

Hey genius. What’s the 22? I’m assuming you use the name 808warriorfan because you sell fans and blow hot air. “America First”

        • keaukaha says:

          It’s his iq

        • keaukaha says:

I meant that’s your iq sarge give or take a couple of points.

        • sarge22 says:

Glad you stayed up to watch the show on Fox News.

        • keaukaha says:

Not watching Fox News just picking your minuscule brain. Kind of hard using toothpicks

    • allie says:

good points. All true. Trump is a phony through and through. As a native American, I will not vote for him. He is anti-American.

  3. lespark says:

Come on, is this some kind of a Trump smear from 46 years ago? The DNC is unfair and unbalanced, Bernie is getting ready to raise cane and this is the best you can come up with? Somehow I expected more. And, don’t forget the 4 people that were tortured, mutilated and dragged through the streets of Benghazi.

“That’s not how Donald Trump considered it. He declared victory, in part because the agreement specifically stated that Trump made the deal without acknowledging wrongdoing.

In his autobiography Trump minimized the case’s impact. “In the end the government couldn’t prove its case, and we ended up making a minor settlement without admitting any guilt.”

    • keaukaha says:

This is not a smear because it is a fact. Just because it happened 46 years ago doesn’t lessen the blatant racism that it was. I find it very ironic that you always complain about unfairness when racism is extreme as unfairness can be.

      • keaukaha says:

Also why settle when your not guilty? It’s like pleading no contest. The cowards way out. Better put on your life jacket cause your ship is going down and you know it. He will be like Bill Cosby and once his victims come out of the wood work it’s all over.

        • Mythman says:

President Trump. Has been Hillary and has been Bill. White black brown red yellow – it is irrelevant. Conservative versus progressive, that matters.

        • lespark says:

Calm down, take your pills, drink a beer.

        • lespark says:

          Trump, Trump, Trump.

        • keaukaha says:

Dream on guys, dream on. Not enough undereducated white males to push the Chump over the top. Even Fox News is saying that and when that happens it’s time to throw in the towel. Mythman shame on you ! You of all people should recognize a myth when you see one.

        • sarge22 says:

HiLIARy is the myth if there ever was one. Her supporters are aiding and abetting a criminal. Clinton Foundation and classified emails will do her in.

        • keaukaha says:

Still waiting for that to happen and it won’t so stop holding your breath. Like I and Fox News are saying not enough angry, undereducated, white men exist. The dummy keeps on bashing the very people who he needs to win.

        • keaukaha says:

Guys listen to me. Chump has been doing these scams his whole life. He gets off on reeling in the gullible. My real thought is that he could give a sh-t about being the POTUS. If he did, he would get serious and as you can see he isn’t about to settle down. The guy is a billionaire and has it all. He is on the verge of pulling off the biggest scam of his life and to his credit got as far that nobody especially the Republican Party thought that he would. At the very end, he as his past history shows, will leave a line of broken hearts and dreams because you swallowed it hook, line, and sinker.

        • keaukaha says:

Are you guys still up or is the truth sinking in.

        • keaukaha says:

          Well nite nite

        • sarge22 says:

Aren’t you going to finish watching “Clinton’s Left Turn” on Fox News. The truth will set you free.

        • keaukaha says:

Sarge like I said previously it’s over for you guys. Trump has stage four electiontitus.

  4. 808warriorfan says:

How do you go, overnight, from being a “WHITES ONLY” person to “oh now I care about everyone” ??? This is what makes “Richard Cranium” aka Trump DANGEROUS … That shooting in Baton Rouge, if those cops are convicted I’ll bet my 401K that Duke will lobby Trump (God forbid if elected) to give them a Presidential Pardon … it’ll be 1861-1865 all over again …

  5. CEI says:

The marching orders to the Star Advertiser came down from on high. Link Donald Trump to white supremacists and capitalize on the currently fashionable white guilt craze. Shameless for sure but not unexpected.

    • keaukaha says:

Stop being in denial. The link is there for all to see. Like I said the mag-ots love him.

      • sarge22 says:

On Sunday, the DNC Rules Committee named Ohio Representative Marcia Fudge permanent DNC chair, according to a DNC source who spoke to CNN. Fudge’s office confirmed CNN’s source in an email to NPR.

The decision was reportedly made on Saturday, one day after Wikileaks published nearly 20,000 internal DNC emails, several of which suggest the DNC supported Clinton over Sanders and even took actions to derail the Sanders campaign.

  6. inverse says:

Fox News and Trump are going to have a heckuva time claiming Bill Clinton is a perv womanizer when their former boss Roger Ailes is getting fired for behaving the exact same way. Also the image of Laura Ingraham giving the Nazi salute in honor of Herr Trump will be devastating as a anti Trump media tool throughout this campaign. It might have been a close race since both Trump and Hilliary got big problems with different voting blocks hiwever with the sudden firing of Fox head honcho Ailes for his perv ersions against women who work for him like Gretchen Carlson, Megyn Kelly and many others and John Stewart comimg out of retirement to attack Trump, Hannnity and FoxNews head on, Trump is going to lose. Trump’s uptick in numbers do NOT reflect the true voting numbers in the swing states because these big non Caucasian voting blocks do not participate in polls and the former Bernie Sander supporters will be comvinced by John Stewart to NOT vote for Trump will make Hillary the next Pres of the US. Yes, John Stewart is that influential in that he might not be pro Hillairy but rather he vehemently anti Trump and FoxNews, and with Ailes getting canned at a time when Herr Trump can only rely on Fox News to back him; like the epic battle between the mongoose (Dems and Hilliary) versus the Cobra (Trump and FoxNews), the snake gets his head cut off. And according to one woman who has seen the former FoxNews ‘head’ it now looks like ‘raw hamburger meat’.

  7. opihi123 says:

if keaukaha is not prejudiced, why does this person make a comment about the guy in the pictures skin color??

    • keaukaha says:

Because I don’t like people who think that they are more supreme than others. I don’t care what color is your skin. My first impression of him was that he had a ghostly appearance. Hawaiians used the word haole meaning ” without breath “. Western movies had Indians or as we now refer to as Native Americans would say pale face. Same thing.

        • keaukaha says:

Lespark just insulted two ladies by saying they had same mother but fathers different gorillas?

        • keaukaha says:

What a sick and disgusting comment. There is no room for that kind of disrespect in the land of aloha. My suggestion is that you pack your bags and go back to where you come from. You represent the very reason why Donald Trump will never be elected. When you leave make sure you take your white robes and hood with you.

        • keaukaha says:

I am also upset and disgusted with the SA for posting that comment.

        • keaukaha says:

For those of you who are wondering why I am so upset ? It took my reply to opihi123 more than four hours to clear moderation and all I said was that he was a pale as a ghost. Look at his picture! I don’t think I’m lying. Lespark says what he says and it gets printed. Insulting, digusting and inexcusable!
