Clinton promises steady hand in dangerous world
PHILADELPHIA » Promising Americans a steady hand, Hillary Clinton cast herself tonight as a unifier for divided times, an experienced leader steeled for a volatile world. She aggressively challenged Republican Donald Trump’s ability to do the same.
“Imagine him in the Oval Office facing a real crisis,” Clinton said as she accepted the Democratic nomination for president. “A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons.”
Clinton took the stage to roaring applause from flag-waving delegates on the final night of the Democratic convention, relishing her nomination as the first woman to lead a major U.S. political party. But her real audience was the millions of voters watching at home, many of whom may welcome her experience as secretary of state senator and first lady, but question her character.
She acknowledged those concerns briefly, saying “I get it that some people just don’t know what to make of me.” But her primary focus was persuading Americans to not be seduced by Trump’s vague promises to restore economic security and fend off threats from abroad.
Clinton’s four-day convention began with efforts to shore up liberals who backed Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary and it ended with an outstretched hand to Republicans and independents unnerved by Trump. A parade of military leaders, law enforcement officials and Republicans took the stage ahead of Clinton to endorse her in the general election contest with Trump.
“This is the moment, this is the opportunity for our future,” said retired Marine Gen. John R. Allen, a former commander in Afghanistan. “We must seize this moment to elect Hillary Clinton as president of the United States of America.”

American flags waved in the stands of the packed convention hall. There were persistent but scattered calls of “No more war,” but the crowd drowned them out with chants of “Hill-a-ry” and “U-S-A!”
The Democratic nomination now officially hers, Clinton has just over three months to persuade Americans that Trump is unfit for the Oval Office and overcome the visceral connection he has with some voters in a way the Democratic nominee does not.
She embraced her reputation as a studious wonk, a politician more comfortable with policy proposals than rhetorical flourishes. “I sweat the details of policy,” she said.
Clinton’s proposals are an extension of President Barack Obama’s two terms in office: tackling climate change, overhauling the nation’s fractured immigration laws, and restricting access to guns. She disputed Trump’s assertion that she wants to repeal the Second Amendment, saying “I’m not here to take away your guns. I just don’t want you to be shot by someone who shouldn’t have a gun in the first place.”
Campaigning in Iowa Thursday, Trump said there were “a lot of lies being told” at Clinton’s convention. In an earlier statement, he accused Democrats of living in a “fantasy world,” ignoring economic and security troubles as well as Clinton’s controversial email use at the State Department.
The FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private internet server didn’t result in criminal charges, but it did appear to deepen voters’ concerns with her honesty and trustworthiness. A separate pre-convention controversy over hacked Democratic Party emails showing favoritism for Clinton in the primary threatens to deepen the perception that Clinton prefers to play by her own rules.
Through four nights of polished convention pageantry, Democratic heavyweights told a different story about Clinton. The most powerful validation came Wednesday night from Obama, her victorious primary rival in 2008. Obama declared Clinton not only can defeat Trump’s “deeply pessimistic vision” but also realize the “promise of this great nation.”
Clinton was introduced by her daughter, Chelsea, who spoke warmly of her mother as a woman “driven by compassion, by faith, by kindness, a fierce sense of justice, and a heart full of love.” President Bill Clinton watched from a seat on the convention floor, beaming with pride and repeatedly leaping to his feet.
Clinton was joined on stage at the end of the night by her running mate, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, who addressed the convention Wednesday. Fireworks exploded inside the arena and red, white and blue balloons plunged from the arena rafters.
Clinton and Kaine head into the general election seeking support from the same coalition of voters that propelled Obama into the White House: blacks, Hispanics, women and young people. The diverse parade of speakers who took the stage in Philadelphia this week underscored that goal.
On the convention’s closing night, Khizr Khan, an American Muslim whose son was killed in military service, emotionally implored voters to stop Trump, who has called for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration.
“Donald Trump, you are asking Americans to trust you with their future,” Khan said. “Let me ask you, have you even read the United States Constitution? I will gladly lend you my copy.”
The program paid tribute to law enforcement officers killed on duty, including five who died in Dallas earlier this month in retaliation for officer-involved shootings in Minnesota and Louisiana.
“Violence is not the answer,” Dallas Sheriff Lupe Valdez said. “Yelling, screaming and calling each other names is not going to do it.”
Clinton sought to reach beyond the Democratic base, particularly to moderate Republicans unnerved by Trump.
Former Reagan administration official Doug Elmets announced he was casting his first vote for a Democrat in November, and urged other Republicans who “believe loyalty to our country is more important than loyalty to party” to do the same.

Looks like “The Donald” is finished.
The only thing transparent about Hillary is her DISHONESTY!!!
Corrupt lying Hillary is a Disaster and her Pinocchio speech was a disaster!!!
Her speech tonight combined with Donald Trump’s act of treason against the United States means a landslide in November.
“Hillary Clinton. She’ll say anything, and change nothing. It’s time to turn the page. Paid for by Obama for America.”
Obama 2008 Campaign Ad
OD.. “Treason”? Are there going go be federal charges? Or are you talking stupid biased liberal left stuff again?
OldDiver, landslide for who?
“Steady” hand with crooked tongue.
Old Diver has to stay out of the brown water.
Really, where was that “steady” hand in Bengahzi. And how did that “steady” hand lose 1,000s of emails. What a joke.
You know the story is fiction when the first two words are “Clinton Promises”
So, lets recap the dimocrat convention:
1. DNC chair resigns day before the start because of emails where the DNC calls hispanic outreach as “taco bell voters.”
2. Former DNC chair immediately hired by shrillary.
3. Shamed into bringing American flags onto the stage, while the flag is burned outside by people holding Soviet Union flags.
4. Erected two fences outside and one inside to keep out the mass of people that don’t want shrillary while they preach about not needing a border fence.
5. Shouts of “black lives matter” during a moment of silence for fallen police officers.
6. Turn their backs and shouts “no more war” during a Medal of Honor recipient’s speech.
7. Mothers of thugs who were shot by police were invited on stage, but not mothers of fallen police officers.
8. The nominee is interrupted several times by people who don’t like her.
9. Shrillary’s daughter, for whom shrillary got a $900k a year job right out of college, reflects on the low times in the White House but doesn’t mention anything about her dad’s impeachment or adulterous behavior.
10. Mentions Donald Trump more than twice the number of times the RNC mentioned shrillary, but doesn’t once mention ISIS.
Shameful…

Are Trump fans aware that “some” of what he says are said without thought, don’t make a lot of sense, or are simply wrong? Do you care that his “Big Wall” promise is just a random thought that popped into his head, for which he has no realistic plan, no method of financing, and no logistic details? It’s a cute idea that might sound good if you never take 10 seconds to think about it. Now think about it a few seconds…. are we ALL in agreement that Trump’s Big Wall is NOTHING?
As a usually Democrat voter, I am disappointed that Hillary took those millions from Wall Street, and that she carelessly (not illegally) mishandled her emails (no relation to the DNC emails). She’s not perfect. But at least half of what she says makes sense and is realistic.
What realistic plan does Trump have? Do you believe he cares about YOU? He’s just not that kind of person.
hahahahah, who in their right mind(smh) believe’s a Clinton promise? Yikes!
This coming from a guy that couldn’t spell England.
It’s not a spelling bee. Minnasota
“Chelsea, will introduce her Thursday night.”
wonder if her father will address the convention too.
Chelsea married into a family like her own.
Do you know who her father in law is?
Did you ever wonder who that allusive “Nigerian Prince” is who might be sending you those emails looking for money? Look no farther than the Clinton Family Tree.
As the saying goes, you can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your family. Bill and Hillary Clinton learned this lesson the hard way when Chelsea Clinton decided she wanted to marry Marc Mezvinsky.
Edward Maurice “Ed” Mezvinsky, Chelsea Clinton’s father-in-law and her daughter’s grandfather, is a convicted Felon. The former Democrat Congressman from Iowa’s 1st Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives, served two terms, from 1973 to 1977.
Ed Mezvinsky has known Hillary Clinton since the days when he served on the House Judiciary Committee that decided the fate of President Richard Nixon. This harsh critic of President Richard Nixon, had called Nixon “a crook” and “a disgrace to politics and the nation”, and called for Nixon’s impeachment.
But, did you ever wonder who that allusive “Nigerian Prince” is who might be sending you those emails looking for money? Look no farther than the Clinton Family Tree.
Through a series of Nigerian email scams and Ponzi schemes, Ed Mezvinsky, Chelsea Clinton’s father-in-law embezzled more than $10 million dollars. In 2001, Ed Mezvinsky was convicted of 31 (out of 69!) charges of fraud, and served five years in federal prison. His fraud charges included bank, mail, wire, as well as other offenses involving financing bogus oil development and other trade deals in Africa.
But don’t think Ed doesn’t keep it in the family. In addition to his law clients and friends, he even bilked his own (now deceased) mother-in-law out of money. To date in 2015, the Fraudster still owes over $9.4 million in restitution to his victims.
A lot of political pundits have made allusions to the fact that the Clintons’ and the Mezvinkys’ behaviors are so similar, that it is what bonded the two. Be that as it may, the Clintons go to great lengths to never, ever, be seen or photographed with any of Chelsea’s in-laws. So afraid is the Clinton Dynasty of being tarnished by the Mezvinkys that neither Ed nor his second wife and Marc’s mother, Marjorie Sue Margolies-Mezvinsky, were allowed in any of Chelsea’s wedding pictures.
It is yet to be seen if Hillary Rodham Clinton becomes President of the United States of America, if she will ask her only child’s in-laws to the White House for the Holidays. If she does, it is sure that there will be a ban on photographs when the Felons enter the “People’s House.”
Or you could just talk about the felon father in law of Ivanka Trump–Kushner made multiple donations to political campaigns because, as a developer, he created over 100 partnerships, which could each make their own donations, New York Magazine reports. However, when he would make these donations, he would also make them in the name of other partners, who he declined to tell. One of these partners was his own brother, Murray. Murray sued Kushner and wanted a full account of where the money was going.
Charles was also fined by the Federal Election Commission and had to pay $508,900 in connection with donations made between December 1997 and August 2000 because they were made by partnerships that were in reality controlled by the same person.
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie enters the story in 2004. At the time, Christie was U.S. Attorney for New Jersey and going after Kushner was an early success story for him. Christie indicted Kushner on conspiracy, obstruction of justice and witness intimidation, notes Multi Family Executive.
That last charge stems from the fact that Kushner hired a prostitute to seduce William Schulder, his sister Esther Schulder’s husband, in an effort to get Esther to not cooperate with authorities. According to The New York Times, Kushner admitted that this was “wrong in every way” in a letter to Esther that was made public during an appeal for leniency.
“What I did as an act of revenge was wrong in every way,” Kushner wrote. “I only ask that you forgive me for resorting to such despicable behavior, which is disgraceful. I was wrong and I committed a terrible sin. How did I let hatred invade my heart and guide my actions?”
Kushner agreed to plead guilty to felony counts of submitting false campaign finance reports and tax returns. He was sentenced to two years in prison, notes Politico. He started the sentence in an Alabama federal prison, but was later moved to a halfway house in New Jersey. He was released in August 2006.

Breitbart News is honored to present free of charge the Director’s Cut of Clinton Cash — the new documentary taking the internet by storm, based on Peter Schweizer’s bestselling book (now available in paperback) and graphic novel of the same name.
Due to the overwhelming success of last weekend’s premiere of Clinton Cash, the film has been the #1 trending topic on Facebook for three days in a row. Its success in dominating social media during the Democratic National Convention is thanks in part to the signal boost given by progressive supporters of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
Already concerned citizens have circulated copies of the film on various media platforms. While most filmmakers would find the pirating of their material troubling, the Clinton Cash filmmakers have a message to the world: “Pirate away!”
Unlike Bill and Hillary Clinton, we believe some things are more important than cold cash. This film was not made to make money. It was made to alert the public to the appalling — and dangerous — corruption of the Clintons.
In order to reach the widest possible audience, Breitbart will host the film here on our site from now until November to be viewed for free by anyone at any time.

sarge22… you know that crooked Libs h@te being exposed (unless you’re bubba) right?
You got it buddy.
Scud, I don’t think Chelsea knows who her father is. Of wait, maybe they can get a DNA sample from Monica.
Yessir … you’re definitely a Trump supporter!
Stay classy!
Scud, you know your repeating your cut and paste twice in your comment right.
by the way, there is a great movie out, documentary, by dinesh d’souza: “hilliary’s america.”
wonder if webb hubbell has his grandchildren over for thanksgiving this year.
get a barf bag..
After that that pathetic speech TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT!
A continuation of little Barry’s march toward a one party totalitarian dictatorship on the backs of the middle class. With the Clintons you get the pair that beat the full house, each more dishonest than the other. Since leaving the White House they both have engaged in influence peddling on a monumental scale. Slick Willie with his Clinton Global Initiative and his old lady as Senator and Sec’y of State have taken in astronomical speaking fees. Most of the organizations that lavished those fees on Mrs. Clinton were deep pocketed and surely expect some form of payback on their “investments” when she ascends to the White House.
You can say all you want but her speech and the DNC was a class act. You can feel the energy and definitely no obvious disrespect. This is the Greatest Show on Earth compared to the carnival last week in Cleveland. No reasonable competent person in their right mind would consider the Chump for POTUS. The fact is there is not enough undereducated white men to overcome the rest of us normal people.
Mr. Trump does have the racist, white supremacist, anti-semitic and imbecile vote totally wrapped up though.
Still not enough. Chump and his supporters should be more concerned that black votes matter as well as black lives matter.
keaukaha – Agreed. He’s polling at close to 0% (not a typo) of the black vote. Very low (less than 10%) for the Latino vote; nearly 0% of the Muslim vote (who are registering to vote now by the thousands) so I agree that he has no chance whatever of winning.
You two guys bring up stuff people are forgetting.
You wish. Trump will experience instant karma and be slammed come November.
You can tell when a post makes someone uncomfortable, the person making the reply can’t counter the assertions so he changes the subject.
CEI, Yep, don’t think they thought the Trumpeteers had any brains. Only they are the elite. I’m surprised they even acknowledge the middle class.
Du-my she’s talking about you changing the subject
nailed it
What do the top ten cities (over 250,000 pop.) with the highest poverty rate
all have in common?
Detroit, MI – (1st on poverty rate list) hasn’t elected a Republican mayor
since 1961
Buffalo, NY – (2nd) hasn’t elected one since 1954
Cincinnati, OH – (3rd) not since 1984
Cleveland, OH – (4th) not since 1989
Miami, FL – (5th) has never had a Republican mayor
St. Louis, MO – (6th) not since 1949
El Paso, TX – (7th) has never had a Republican mayor
Milwaukee, WI – (8th) not since 1908
Philadelphia, PA – (9th) not since 1952
Newark, NJ – (10th) not since 1907
lespark, all the cities that have a homeless problem are run by democrats.
Boston, Massachusetts.
San Jose and Santa Clara, California.
San Francisco, California
Chicago, Illinois
District of Columbia
Las Vegas, Nevada
San Diego, California
Seattle, Washington
Honolulu, Hawaii
You also listed some of the most prosperous, educated and diverse cities. Care to comment?
Read the 1st sentence, RUN BY DEMOCRATS, care to comment?
The fact is, is the most successful, most educated, most diverse, most productive states and cities are almost entirely democratic.
Conversely, the most uneducated, the poorest, the highest per capita participation in welfare and the least diverse and least productive are dominated by Republican states, care to fashion some rartionalization??
Watch Fox news Newt Gingrich is like the Dutch boy trying to stop the dikes from leaking. He has the same problem as the boy. Not enough fingers. The absence of other prominent repubublicans on Fox News is so noticeable. Where is fat boy Christie?
Low glucose levels, he had to go on a ding-ding and hoho run.
Did he find you two?
Sticks and stones may break our bones but words can’t ever hurt us. That is all that Chump and his supporters have. An arsenal of insults and sarcasm but nothing factual. Only a desperate attempt to salvage the unsalvagable. All talk no action. I loved how the DNC exposed the crook who built his so called empire by scamming and ripping off hardworking and honest people.
. I loved how the DNC was exposed. That’s for sure. An arsenal of insults? Do you ever reread your comments? Here I’ll try one “repubublicans” Do you stutter?
What? You and lespark losing it. Put away the cheap wine you’ve had enough for the night.
Fox net work. You mean the station with dirty old sex harassing executives.
and smart beautiful long legged women. What’s not to like?
7 of your poor top 10 are in States run by republican governors. What’s your excuse there? Huh? Huh?
Crickets ….
Indeed, not just ordinary crickets, but really unread and uneducated crickets….
Wisconsin Scott Walker -Republican won over a Democrat
New Jersey Christie – Republican won over a Democrat.
And Milwaukee and New Jersey had a Democrat Mayor since 1908.
Change is a coming with the Great White Hope in the White House.
But, you must admit ten out of ten is a pretty staggering statistic. Or maybe you won’t. No matter.
You ever check the GDP and employment numbers of Wisconsim compared to neighboring Minnasota?? Spoiler alert, they are sucking under Walker……
NB….what’s your response huh huh?
Minnasota —Is that one of Obama’s 57 states?
The 7 out of 10 cities that lester”the molester”park talk about being poor is in a republican state. It was fun watching, trumfp belittle chris “abbottt”christie,Scott waka, rubio,Cruz and the rest of a losing bunch of repugs. It’s like a state is a parent and cities being their children. You are responsible for your kids. So repugs are hypocrites.
2016
Donald Trump – White House
Hillary Clinton – Jail House
Bermie Sanders – Nut House
Barrack Obama – Out House
You whiners are going down. All of the Chumps supporters are whiners and cry babies like their nominee. No substance only insults and sarcasm. Lucky the Chump had enough kids to provide speakers for the RNC or they would have had to go to the janitorial staff for some help. Hilllary had a all star lineup. Truly a murderers row to blow Chump and his supporters to kingdom c-me.
Hilllary had an all star lineup. Great show but what happened to the climax. What a flop. The crowd left disappointed and want their money back. Chelsea said her mother was a joke and didn’t work much. Nothing new here.
Keaukaha, there you go again. Trump supporters are winners. Yes, I agree the DNC had a murderers row of speakers led but the most infamous murderer of them all. Hillary Rotten Clinton.
We don’t need a steady hand. We already have one guy walking around the White House with his hands in his pockets for the last almost 8 years. We need a guy who can call up World leaders and negotiate deals. Not hide behind ambassadors. And you know what happen to the Ambassador to Libya. Tortured, body mutilated, dragged through the streets of Benghazi. What difference does it make? An extremely careless remark. Much worse than the Russians are Coming.
LOL lespark great analogy!!
Blind leading the blind. Stop when you hear the waves crashing upon the rocks.
You ok?
Better than you id-ots
keaukaha…name calling=no intellectual substance
Lol,dragged through the streets of benghazi? Lol.
Despicable comment.
Love to see you say that to Amb. Chris Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith & Glen Doherty’s families in their face but I suspect you would undoubtedly coward out.
Donald Trump has found an ingenious way to save the Democratic Party. Basically, he’s abandoned the great patriotic themes that used to fire up the G.O.P. and he’s allowed the Democrats to seize that ground. If you visited the two conventions this year you would have come away thinking that the Democrats are the more patriotic of the two parties — and the more culturally conservative.
Trump has abandoned the Judeo-Christian aspirations that have always represented America’s highest moral ideals: toward love, charity, humility, goodness, faith, temperance and gentleness.
He left the ground open for Joe Biden to remind us that decent people don’t enjoy firing other human beings.
Trump has abandoned the basic modesty code that has always ennobled the American middle class: Don’t brag, don’t let your life be defined by gilded luxuries.
He left the ground open for the Democrats to seize middle-class values with one quick passage in a Tim Kaine video — about a guy who goes to the same church where he was married, who taught carpentry as a Christian missionary in Honduras, who has lived in the same house for the last 24 years.
Trump has also abandoned the American ideal of popular self-rule.
He left the ground open for Barack Obama to remind us that our founders wanted active engaged citizens, not a government run by a solipsistic and self-appointed savior who wants everything his way.NYT
Aloha no, Trump!
Mr. Trump is a dangerously unstable, malignant racist. His own words are going to be used against him ruthlessly as weapons.
The combined goal now for Democrats is to completely destroy his candidacy in a humiliating loss that takes the Senate down with him.
This is going to be fun!
“Let me ask you, have you even read the U.S. Constitution? I will gladly lend you my copy,” he said, pulling a copy of the document from his pocket.
“Look for the words ‘liberty’ and ‘equal protection of law.’ Have you ever been to Arlington National Cemetery? Go look at the graves of the brave patriots who died defending this country,” he said.
“You have sacrificed nothing,” he said, to roars from the crowd. “We cannot solve our problems by building walls. We are stronger together. We will keep getting stronger when Hillary Clinton becomes our preside to.”
Indeed, Mr. Trump has sacrificed nothing, nothing at all his entire life. He didn’t even give a dime to 9-11 victims, until he was called on it, and only placed dollars in an account recently this year. A coward and a cheap stake…..
Ike, take it easy, you’re choking.
A man who never done anything or sacrificed, actually being a coward would be a fairly lofty goal for him….
Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessman, television personality, author, politician, and the Republican Party nominee for President of the United States in the 2016 election. He is chairman of The Trump Organization, which is the principal holding company for his real estate ventures and other business interests.
Born and raised in New York City, Trump is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in economics. While attending college, Trump worked in his father Fred Trump’s real estate and construction firm. He assumed control of the business in 1973, later renaming it The Trump Organization. During his career, Trump has built skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, golf courses, and numerous other developments, many of which bear his name, including Trump Place in Manhattan. He briefly sought the Reform Party’s nomination in the 2000 presidential election, withdrawing prior to any primary contests. Listed by Forbes among the wealthiest 400 of The World’s Billionaires, Trump and his businesses, as well as his personal life, have for decades received prominent media exposure. He hosted The Apprentice, a popular reality television show on NBC, from 2004 to 2015.
You forgot the racial discrimination, the many many womanizing, the six bankruptcies, where he stiffed many small and medium size businesses, the dearth of any philanthropic activities, no public service and finally, he did NOT graduate from Wharton as claimed, he graduated from Penn, after a rather large donation from his father, which allowed him to transfer, but was never admitted to Wharton–get your facts correct.
Ran from the draft during the Vietnam days. He was a silver spoon rich privet edge brat. Can’t argue with that.
And his deferment number, four times, no less, indicates he may have had some political interference to obtain his deferrement. He is a coward — period.
If I were to run, I’d run as a Republican. They’re the dumbest group of voters in the country. They believe anything on Fox News. I could lie and they’d still eat it up. I bet my numbers would be terrific.
Buahahah, as the old saw goes, even a broken clock is correct two times a day. Donald, kudos,in this instance you hit it on the head!!!!!
Sorry but I have to believe Obama this time…“Hillary Clinton. She’ll say anything, and change nothing. It’s time to turn the page. Paid for by Obama for America.”
Obama 2008 Campaign Ad
And your point? This is 2016, not 2008..
Just another flip flopper. Aren’t all the democrats the same? Here’s the point. Hillary Clinton. She’ll say anything, and change nothing. For her it doesn’t matter what year it is.
Flip floppy, who previously donated to the Clinton Campaigns???
BENGHAZI…emails…liar….Crooked Rotten hiLIARy for PRISONdent. And that’s only the tip of the Clinton “indiscretions”.
Is that the best the Dems can offer!!!
Trump/Pence will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
I hate both major party candidates. Wish we could have a do over.
Better figure out which one is the choice for your own best interest. Hint if you are barely making a living and struggling stick with Hillary.
Here’s a better hint. If you are barely making a living and struggling stick with Hillary. That way you can continue barely making a living and struggling. All seriousness aside, how can anybody be struggling after two terms of Barry Hussein? Isn’t he a super-smart democrat like Mrs Clinton.
I’m not struggling. Hard work and democratic values have blessed me. Continue to always contribute to those less fortunate. While not rich always thankfull that I have a roof over my head and never go to sleep hungry. Instill these values to my children and trust in the belief that for those who share from their hearts that blessings will come back tenfold.
keau–It all sounds good but how can you support a socialist. You are also working to support those that don’t want to work. Wouldn’t it be nice to keep your own money and contribute to those less fortunate without Hillary doing that for you? It’s called redistrubution of wealth.
Hard work and democratic values? There are two terms that one doesn’t often confuse.
Yes ol’ lady Clinton does have a steady hand. It rests on top of the mountains of cash she has taken in from Wall Street. Tell me you wizards of intellect, how can Mrs. Clinton be the champion of the down-trodden when she lives the life of royalty? It’s been well documented how she mis-treated her secret service staff last time she was in the WH. Like all democrats who pretend to stand up for the little guy she in fact loathes the lower and middle classes. To her and her fellow democrats, displaying compassion for the lower classes is merely a means to an end. The little people just haven’t figured it out yet. Little Barry’s 7+ years haven’t improved the conditions of their protected groups in any measurable way. Wages have stagnated, over 90 million people have left the work force and food stamps are the norm for generations of able americans, legal and illegal. If it were not so pathetic it would be humorous.
What donald means is that he will rebuild the WALL. Wall.St. that is.
Early exit polling indicates that her post convention bump will overtake Trump and solidly place her in the lead. Overall, she scored much higher in exit polls than did Trump. Erik Ericcson a noted Republican just said that the the Democratic Party become the party of Patriotism and the Republican the party of fear…..
“You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people’s Initiative
and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what They could and
should do for themselves.”
~Abraham Lincoln

“You have sacrificed nothing and no one,” Khizr Khan said to Donald Trump.
Indeed.
The Democrats were saving the worst for the last. This Muslim was the only soldier to die? Because he was a Muslim earns him prime time? Out of respect for the family I reserve comment. However, for you just another cheap shot. By the way, if Mr. Khan has a bone to pick I believe Bush was the President.
You actually don’t have the class to reserve comment, so you didn’t.
He was pointing out the facts that Mr. Trump is a coward who avoided the draft by faking a foot problem. When asked by a reporter about which foot was the problem, he couldn’t remember.
Mr. Trump has also said how he’ll order the military to commit war crimes and will deploy fighting forces at his whim.
Mr. Trump has sacrificed nothing and no one.
You serve in the military Les and don’t lie, nothing more low than a guy lying about military service. That’s why I thought …..
“A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons.”
My favorite line from tonight’s speech and a line that boils it all down for me.
Try this on for size. A member of little Barry’s cabinet who keeps classified documents on a home server that most surely was hacked is not a woman we can trust with nuclear weapons. That boils it all down for me.
I feel sorry for those of you whose lives are so empty that you have put your hopes in the Chump deepest condolences.
It’s a pretty good line Primo, almost as good as telling families of the Benghazi massacre victims that some video started it.
The ” Butcher of Benghazi ” will be just as disastrous as Hussein Obama, our Muslim loving president.
The Miss Universe pagent was Donalds freezer for fresh meat. Lots of “opportunity” for youn uns.
We cannot have a country served by those who place party affiliation above all else, that leads to more of the same stalemate this country has seen these past years. Realistic solutions should be based on compromise by Democrats, Republicans, and Independents.
Those who support Bernie and are still on the fence, already know that meaningful change will take time. Realistically, time spanning at least several generations before significant changes are realized. But they will never be in a better position to begin their trek to realize their dreams for this country than with Hillary Clinton.
Watching video clips of Clinton from her early years, through the 1990’s, listening to her speeches during those times, up to the present, you realize that she can and will make a difference for this country, that she is anything but “more of the same”. She will make one of the best Presidents that this country has ever seen.
IRT nomu1001: Put down the crack pipe. If you look up “more of the same” in the dictionary there’s a picture of old lady Clinton, cankles and all
Next batch of emails to be released by WikiLeaks will lead to arrest of Hillary Clinton – Julian Assange….
The Sea Hag looking appalling unappealing wild-eyed and sounding utterly unelectable. If you can’t charge her you may console yourselves by witnessing her own self-immolation.
She looks and sounds like hell. No way she will be able to salvage her election hopes after tonight’s dog and pony show.
And once in office, Trump will buddy up with Putin, scour/torch the cowardly ISIS scum from the face of the planet and forestall WW3. And maybe the economy gets a boost to boot.
It’s encouraging that even long time established republicans are siding with Clinton. They too know what is at stake right now, and most importantly, for future generations.
If the ” Butcher of Benghazi ” gets elected at least we won’t have to put up the Xmas visits every year. Good riddance to that POS Hussein Obama..
That’s you. Always reasoned and classy.
Are you twelve years old?
America has a choice between a fully developed adult, Clinton, and a partially developed man-child, Trump.
A tiny ball of snow start rolling down a slope of freshly fallen snow. Slowly but surely it began to pick up some speed and gathers more snow. As its momentum picked up speed it becomes bigger and bigger. Finally reaching its goal at the bottom of the hill it had transformed into the biggest and perfect most beautiful ball of snow! Admired and awed by the crowd of simple but respectful men and women! The little snowball is the metaphor of a little known but quite and good guy, Gary Johnson! Go for him kids, and stop dithering between Trump and Clinton. These two have too much unpleasant history between them! Let’s start afresh with Gary Johnson!
*quiet
Not so much quiet, as realistic. Reading through these comments it becomes apparent that “gentlemen” like sarge, klas, lespark, ike, and others, seemingly prefer hurling insults back and forth, and that any comment pointing out the obvious fact of Johnson’s credentials will only be ignored. Better to encourage those whose minds instead of their mouths remain open.
Promising much while sounding eerily unauthentic!
I am tired of the SA and all the news media calling it a democratic convention it is called democrat convention, look in the Webster dictionary or any of them and will see it has two different meanings, democratic has nothing to do with democrat.
I was just thinking,
not long ago GM was building cars in Flint, Michigan and you couldn’t
drink the water in Mexico.
After 7 years of support from Obama and his Administration,
GM now builds cars in Mexico and you can’t drink the water in Flint, Michigan.
Hope and Change delivered!
Remember Benghazi! The lies and empty promises that followed. Her response “What does at this point matter now?” and it will always matter to the families, friends and some Americans who refuse to forget. Auwe!
Once again, Jennifer Rubin, the Washington Post’s ultra-conservative columnist nails it: “The bad news is that Donald Trump is almost single-handedly destroying the Republican Party. As Hillary Clinton said, “He’s taken the Republican Party a long way from ‘Morning in America’ to ‘midnight in America.’” She might have added that he has taken the GOP from the party of William F. Buckley Jr. to the party of know-nothings, from Abraham Lincoln to alt-right bigots and from Cold Warriors to Vladimir Putin’s poodles.”
Is she attempting to look like an Angel?
American flags waved in the stands of the packed convention hall during Hillary’s speech, but were noticeably absent for the first three days of the convention.
