Crew complete repairs on downed pole, Waialae Avenue reopened
All lanes of Waialae Avenue reopened just before the morning commute after Hawaiian Electric Co. crews completed repairs on a downed pole near Hawaii Self Storage.
An accident caused a pole to lean just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, prompting police to shut down the road leading to the H-1 freeway onramp and the Hawaiian Humane Society.
Police reopened one lane of traffic after the scene was cleared and the pole stablized.
Hawaiian Electric Co. crews completed repairs and reopened the road just before 4:30 a.m.
