Emergency sirens malfunction in East Oahu

Emergency sirens were reported to have sounded this morning in Kuliouou and Ahuimanu this morning, but it was due to a malfunction.

The Honolulu Department of Emergency Management confirmed that there was no emergency broadcast and that they were investigating the cause of the malfunction.

The department asks that residents report any malfunctioning sirens by calling 911.

    So typical of the utter inability of the Nei to maintain simple technology to standard.

    Expect similar issues if and when rail ever gets up and running. Trains will break down shutting down rail. Station elevators will fail, handicapped people will be denied access.

    Just another day in the little 8th world of Hawaii Nei.
