First family arrives at Martha’s Vineyard for 2-week break

CHILMARK, Mass. >> President Barack Obama’s seventh and final summer vacation at Martha’s Vineyard has begun with hopes of getting in some relaxing time with the first family before the busy fall leading up to November’s presidential election.
Obama will fill the next two weeks with leisurely rounds of golf, beach outings, bike rides and hikes with his wife and daughters, and dinner with Mrs. Obama and friends at some of the Massachusetts island’s top restaurants.
Congress is also on an extended summer break from Washington, something the White House has chided it for as the nation deals with the Zika virus in Florida.
The Obamas like to keep a low profile on the island and were successful last summer, but events forced the president to interrupt his vacation several times in 2014.

That is one great family! They were able to raise two fine kids despite the pressure of public office.
I like the story Mr. Obama tells about speaking with a Conservative voter in Texas. The guy said words to the effect “Mr. President, I disagree with everything you say but I applaud you for being a good father.” It’s a big deal.
It is. A very important role model. I’m proud how he represented the United States over the past 7+ years.
Lie three: Obama calls himself a constitutional law prof to imply that he loves the Constitution. Obama gives the lie to this himself. He is on record – literally, a radio interview done when he was a lecturer – slamming the Supreme Court’s interpretation of the Constitution because they never tried to invent a right to “redistribute wealth” – a failing he describes as a “tragedy of the civil rights movement.” Obama laments the constraints on government power (what we would call liberty) imposed by our Constitution. Obama himself contrasts following the Constitution with being a community organizer, creating “coalitions of power,” which could “redistribute wealth” and create “economic justice.”

Klastri, have you ever wondered why Obama is so preoccupied with blaming white people even to the point of questioning the validity of the Consitution. The same Constitution Ali Baba waved at the DNC? The same Constitution his son died defending? The same Constitution he over rides with Executive Orders allowing illegal immigrants to enter the Country? We don’t know where they are or what nefarious actions they are taking?

The entire Texas Republican delegation in Congress signed a letter to President Barack Obama Friday, asking for answers on hundreds of millions in unspent money to fight the mosquito-borne Zika virus.
I guess his vacation is more important.
