Girl who apparently drowned at Ala Moana condo pool is identified
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified today a 2-year-old girl who apparently drowned after being found in an Ala Moana condominium swimming pool as Eleanor Rogers, of Honolulu.
The cause of her death was still pending.
Paramedics responded to One Ala Moana, at 1555 Kapiolani Blvd., about 5:30 p.m. Friday for a report of a near drowning, said Shayne Enright, spokeswoman for the Honolulu Emergency Services Department. Paramedics treated the girl, who was found unresponsive in the swimming pool, and took her in critical condition to a hospital, where she later died.

so sad. RIP little one.
Where are the parents?
That’s the brand new condo built on top of the old Nordstrom parking lot. Where were the pool guards? None? Parents? None? Manager? None? WTF?
What condo pools have lifeguards?
Condo, hotel, and other private pools generally do not have lifeguards. The higher level of duty of care implied by employing guards results in a greater exposure to potential civil actions.
how can no one be watching her in the pool?
