Magnitude 3.4 earthquake recorded in ocean off Hawaii island
A minor, deep earthquake stuck off the coast of Hawaii island, but was not widely felt.
The magnitude 3.4 earthquake struck at 11:07 a.m., about 35 miles west of Honaunau and 34 miles west-northwest of Milolii at a depth of 27 miles.
It did not cause a tsunami.
The USGS “Did you feel it?” website reported only 4 responses following the earthquake.

They’ve had several of that magnitude under the Big Island in the last few weeks.
