Woman seriously injured in Liliha pedestrian accident

A 73-year-old woman was treated by paramedics and taken to the hospital in serious condition after being hit by a car this morning in the Liliha area.

Emergency Medical Services said the pedestrian accident occurred at 6:28 a.m. at the intersections of North Kuakini and Liliha streets.

No other details were immediately available.

    What dumb motorist hit a pedestrian at that intersection. Drive slower fools.

      How do you know the motorist is at fault? I used to live in Liliha and the elderly would step in front of traffic all the time. We would have the green and they would just walk against the light oblivious to traffic. Also, pedestrians young or old have to be aware of cars even if they have the right of way. Many pedestrians just walk without making eye contact with the the drivers and making sure they stop. You can be right, but it’s no good if you’re dead right.
