Seeking spine-tingling tales for our annual fiction contest

Spin your most haunting tale of horror and the supernatural in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Today section’s annual Halloween Fiction Contest. Entries are limited to 650 words and must be original work never before published. The winner will receive a $200 cash prize, and that person’s story will appear in the Today section Oct. 30. Second prize is $100.

The deadline for all entries is Oct. 17, with one entry per person.

The contest is open to Hawaii residents only; Oahu Publications Inc. contributors, employees and their immediate family members are not eligible. The judges’ decision is final. By entering the contest, you are granting the Honolulu Star-Advertiser a royalty-free license to use your story in print and online. Winners’ names and photos will appear in the Star-Advertiser.
