Waipahu man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder
A 52-year-old Waipahu man was arrested late Saturday afternoon on suspicion of attempted murder and reckless endangerment after allegedly wielding a weapon against several people.
The suspect is accused of using a dangerous instrument to threaten three adults, two teenagers and a 9-year-old boy in the Kunia area at about 3:45 p.m. Saturday, according to a police report. His actions put them at risk of death and or bodily injury, police said.
The man was arrested at 4:08 p.m. and is being held in custody while police investigate the case.
