Hawaiian Airlines’ passenger traffic rose 2.6 percent in October as more seats were available than the year-earlier period.
The state’s largest carrier said today it transported 932,235 passengers compared with 908,346 in October 2015. Hawaiian’s load factor, or the percentage of seats filled, increased 3.2 percentage points to 88.3 percent from 85.1 percent.
Revenue passenger miles, or one paying passenger transported one mile, increased 7.8 percent to 1.35 million from 1.25 million. Available seat miles, or one seat transported one mile, rose 3.9 percent to 1.53 million from 1.47 million.
