Woman arrested after stabbing in Maili

Police arrested a 40-year-old woman in Maili after she allegedly stabbed another woman multiple times.

The stabbing occurred at about 8:40 p.m. Thursday at a residence on Heleuma Street in Maili. Police said the suspect and the victim, 47, were arguing when the younger woman stabbed the victim multiple times in the upper torso.

Paramedics responded and took the 47-year-old woman to the hospital in serious condition.

Police arrested the 40-year-old woman at the scene on suspicion of second-degree assault.
