Sarah McLachlan to perform at Hawaii Theatre Center
Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and activist Sarah McLachlan will appear in a benefit for the Hawaii Theatre Center on Feb. 11.
Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. concert go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday at the Theatre box office, accessible at hawaiitheatre.com or at 528-0506. Tickets are $250, which includes food and beverages, and $150 for the concert only. Proceeds from the event will go to the Hawaii Theatre Center based in the historic downtown venue.
McLachlan, best-known for her albums “Fumbling Toward Ecstasy” and “Surfacing” has won three Grammys and nine Juno Awards, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys. She is also known for establishing the Lilith Fair in 1997, which provided a major showcase for female artists during its three-year run and raised more than $7 million for women’s charities. Her efforts earned several awards, including Canada’s highest honor, an Officer of the Order of Canada.

Yes, great show, but I’d need an angel to hand me a $150 for the ticket, and twice that for a pal to enjoy it with me.
