UH Wahine offer free hoops tickets to keiki


    The University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine celebrate after winning the Big West Conference Tournament championship in March, sending the team to the NCAA Women’s Tournament for the first time since 1998.

Local kids can cheer on the home team at select University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine basketball games for free this season.

Women’s basketball games included in the Free Youth Game Program are 5 p.m. Jan. 28 (Cal Poly); 7 p.m. Feb. 11 (University of California, Santa Barbara); and 7 p.m. March 4 (Long Beach State University). All games are played at Stan Sheriff Center at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Keiki in grade 8 and younger are eligible and must be accompanied by a paying adult. Reservations must be submitted one week prior to game date. Check in at Gate A, makai of the main entrance.
