Police search for suspect in downtown bank robbery
Police are looking for a male suspect who allegedly robbed American Savings Bank’s main branch in downtown Honolulu on Monday.
At about 4:25 p.m. at the bank located at 1001 Bishop St., police said he displayed a note to a teller that said “this is a robbery” and demanded cash.
Police said the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No injuries were reported. Police are continuing their investigation.

One of last night’s news reports said they think it’s the same guy that hit other banks. He has a distinct waddle. So, if anybody in the bank sees a short, heavy set guy in his 40s-50s that waddles into the bank, keep an eye on him.
