Man charged after breaking into Ralph Lauren store in Waikiki

A 23-year-old man was charged Saturday with trespass after he broke into the Ralph Lauren Store at T Galleria Hawaii in Waikiki and damaged property, police said.

The man, of a Waikiki address, damaged the front glass door to enter the store at 330 Royal Hawaiian Ave. at about 5 a.m. Saturday and damaged items while inside, police said.

Police found the man, allegedly appearing highly intoxicated, inside the business.

He was arrested for investigation of burglary, but the case was reclassified to fourth-degree criminal property damage and second-degree trespass. His bail was set at $500.

    The drunk will get probation and will never pay for the damage. Lucky he lives Hawaii.
