Man arrested in Kahana Bay assault

A domestic argument turned violent at Kahana Bay Thursday when a 32-year-old man allegedly restrained a 34-year-old woman in her car for more than four hours and physically abused her, police said.

The alleged assault occurred between 2:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. Thursday.

The man later turned himself into police and was arrested without incident at 3:50 p.m., police said. He faces charges of second-degree assault and violating a protective order, police said.

At least he did the right thing and turned himself in. A glimmer of hope that this guy can make himself a better person.

4 hours detaining and abusing her in a car and no one comes to her aid. Nobody heard anything? I guess he was smart enough to only beat her below the sounds of the waves or most of the people on the beach had their ear buds on with their eyes glued on their iPhones.

Seems like protective orders and tro’s are mostly useless pieces of paper and only infuriate the perpetrators.
