A 20-year-old man was shot during an altercation Christmas Day in the Ala Moana area and was hospitalized in critical condition, according to a police report.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the shooting and no arrest had been made as of the time of the report, filed at 3:08 a.m. today.
The shooting occurred at 5:38 p.m. Sunday. Emergency Medical Services were called and took the victim to a nearby hospital.

You are correct – most of us go tp Ala Moana to shop and eat. Two perfectly safe activities. Seems like this dude got into a situation and bad stuff happens. The TV news reported that the family is hoping and praying for a miracle. I hope they get it.
