FBI Director James Comey testified on Capitol Hill in Washington, Tuesday, before the Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on Russian Intelligence Activities. The Justice Department’s inspector general announced today he will launch an investigation into the department and FBI’s actions in the months leading up to the 2016 election, including whether department policies were properly followed by Comey.

WASHINGTON >> The Justice Department’s inspector general announced today he will launch an investigation into the department and FBI’s actions in the months leading up to the 2016 election, including whether department policies were properly followed by FBI Director James Comey.

Democrats have blamed Comey’s handling of an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server and his late-October release of a letter about the case as among the reasons for her loss to Republican Donald Trump.

Inspector General Michael Horowitz said the investigation would look at whether department or FBI policies were followed in relation to Comey’s actions in the case.

The review will examine Comey’s news conference in July 2016 in which he said that the FBI would not recommend charges. During his announcement, Comey delivered an unusual public statement for an FBI chief by chastising Clinton and her aides as “extremely careless.”

It will also review the two letters he sent to Congress about the case in the final days before the 2016 election. Clinton and her aides said the disclosure of “new” emails — found on a laptop belonging to Anthony Weiner, the estranged husband of Clinton aide Huma Abedin — less than two weeks before Election Day hurt her in several battleground states.

Comey’s action prompted outrage from Clinton and other Democrats who said it needlessly placed her under suspicion when the FBI didn’t even know if the emails were relevant.

Comey, you should of recommended indictment of the crooked lady. You would of probably done so if you knew that Trump was going to win. Now you are being bashed by the democrats and you don’t look good in the eyes of the republican party who holds the majority.

Never trust people who lie in the first place. You have been deceived by them.

Last week, with a one-sentence change to House rules, Republicans made every representative’s records “exclusively the personal property of the individual member,” giving them “control over such records” so that they can be hidden from the Office of Congressional Ethics – or even criminal investigators. Draining the swamp? Nope. I think Republicans have mistaken a cesspool for a hot tub.

this is one of the reasons she lost because of the private e-mail server, there was only 1 reason why she lost I said that last week 1 million or more of farakahn followers did not vote in the election at all so that’s where she lost because what her and nerobama did to farakhans very close friend kadaffi. that’s it.

    • 64hoo says:

everybody got it all wrong press, T.V. the dems and repubs even commenters got it wrong why she lost, the killing of kadaffi was her downfall, so everybody is wrong and I am right.
